Choose Joy Quilt: Blocks 1-10

Choose Joy

I’ve been wanting to change my guest bedroom in hopes that it would help me want to keep it pretty and clean.

It also doubles for my craft room, which is why it’s regular “dirty”, though I like to think of it as my current projects are easily accessible.

Choose Joy

This quilt I fell in love with last summer. It’s in a book put out by Shannon Gillman Orr.

Choose Joy

The message in it is: to choose joy on a daily basis.

I picked the perfect fabric put out by Joel Dewberry called Wander. And I started cutting it out last summer while hanging out at my mom’s house.

Well, that’s about as far as I got, until I went to go on a RV road trip with her again this summer. And so I brought my precut blocks with me and chose to do some of the blocks in the evening while we were just hanging out.

Now… I’m kindda on a time crunch, and I’m on a roll. I need to get this done ASAP. See, I’m pregnant and this little lady I’m carrying is due in about 5 weeks and I want to be able to long-arm quilt before she arrives. Otherwise, I know it won’t happen.

So I’ve got my first 10 done and I want to show them off.

The blocks are beautiful, the fabric is beautiful. And I’m excited to see how this quilt turns out.
