Last Block: Kiss Goodnight Quilt by Emma Jean Jansen

posted in: Last Blocks, Quilting | 0

Hello Friends!

I have another quilt to share with youl This one is by Emma Jean Jansen!

See… it all started with some beautiful fabric by Crystal Manning. I bought a Fat Quarter Bundle of Parlor and then I had to find the perfect quilt pattern to go with it.

My requirements:

  • Big Blocks
  • Showcases fabric
  • Will Look beautiful when it’s done

Last Block

I skipped over taking pictures of this quilt as I go, but I decided to make some scrappy blocks to turn into a table runner. So those are the pictures you get.

First lay out your block.

I then started by putting together the corner units.

Then the Center Units.

The quilt block will come together quite nicely!

I then used my kitchen floor to lay out the quilt.

Add the sashing and then it’s all put together.

Thoughts

This was a fun and quick pattern.

The blocks come out to 15 1/2″ and so they are perfect to highlight your fabric and to put together a quilt quick.

Each step of the process is easy, and I like to tackle one step at the time for all of the 25 blocks, then move on to the next one.

So I cut out all the pieces. Paired them up and made all the half square triangles. Then put all the blocks together.
